Steve Meszaros, Founder, Avonlea Homes
Mr. Meszaros' career spans 35 years in various facets of Real Estate,
Property Management, Construction and Land Development. He holds a Degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University, an honorary Bachelor of Applied Science degree and Distinguished Alumni (2012) from Lethbridge College. In 1996, he formed Avonlea Homes Ltd. and became the largest home builder and major land developer in the Lethbridge area. He recently sold his interest in Avonlea Homes, but remains active in real estate and land development. Mr. Meszaros serves as a cabinet committee member at Lethbridge College and supports foreign students to attend that institution through a major grant program established in his name in 2012.
Dr. Abousalem has a PhD in Engineering from the University of Calgary and an MBA from Santa Clara University in Silicon Valley where he currently works at UCSC. He has 25 years of engineering, marketing, M&A, and operations management experience in small and large technology companies.

Mr. Gartner has over 24 years executive/board experience with technology based businesses, including NovAtel Inc., Hemisphere GNSS Inc., 4iiii Innovation Inc, Psyko Audio Labs Inc. and Novariant Inc. He is a member of the A100, an organization composed of technology company founders and entrepreneurs focused on growing the Alberta technology sector. Mr. Gartner received a B.Sc. from Western University in Ontario and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.
Dr. Michal Okoniewski - Chief Scientific Officer, Co-Founder
Dr. Okonieweski has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University, Gdansk, is a fellow of IEEE and is a Professor for Electrical and Computer Engineering Department with Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. Michal is a renowned expert in applied electrodynamics and RF/antenna engineering, with a proven history of developing leading-edge scientific solutions for the electronic, medical and energy industries. Michal has pioneered the field of hardware acceleration of computational electromagnetics, authoring over 350 technical publications and patents. His GPU accelerated FDTD solver, for example, revolutionized the engineering of electronic devices and are being applied to the energy industry for the production of heavy oils in unconventional reservoirs.
